Our Mission is to connect people to Christ and
His Church and engage one another on the journey to maturity.
We have another exciting year
ahead of us, with plans for engaging Heart Lake
Baptist Church in the mission field both in Brampton,
surrounding areas and abroad.
MCM PROJECT / MISSION TRIP / LOCAL MINISTRY
There is an amazing story behind this project. We as a church have sent mission teams bi yearly to Yalu, Guatemala since 2006 to build relationships and help the community in any way (painting, town celebrations, children's programs, building beds or bathrooms etc.) Barb & Gerry Normand, from our congregation have followed God’s call and after an intense Spanish course are now serving there full time. It is exciting to see God at work and we support them in prayer and financial support. Check out their website for the latest blog: bgexperience.com

OUR MISSION:
To serve others
in love, showing and telling of God’s truth and grace, in
our communities and in our world.

Guatemala Mission Trip
(Bi Yearly)
In 2006, 2008 and 2010 a team
from HLBC set out for a 10 day short term mission
trip to a small village in Guatemala named Yalu (1.5 hours
outside of Guatemala City ).
We went to serve the Mayan people in the
name of our Lord.
We helped out in many different areas. From painting; serving food to
children, expectant and new mothers in the feeding center;
children’s hair washing/lice removal; foot washing/pedicures
for expectant mothers; distribution of donated clothing;
building outdoor bathrooms; reconstructing a children’s
playground; and community events.

MADDays
Our vision is for everyone in our church to take advantage of these
opportunities to get out from behind the church’s four walls
and Make A Difference in our Community!
We realized that you don’t have to be in a different country or on an overseas experience to serve others in need. Working with local charitable organizations, our team of volunteers coordinates dates and times for individuals, groups and families to sign up and take part one day, or many days within a 3-4 week period.
We aim to provide many different opportunities, so that there is something for everyone. All you need to do is sign up and show up! Check out the bulletin in the Fall and Spring to see more details of the opportunities.
